Woman is raped in social movement camp
A woman with 42 year old was raped in a land invaded, on the night of June 4, in the Castro Pires neighborhood in Teófilo Otoni city, in Minas Gerais. According to the military police, two men raped the victim in a wooden tent and canvas and are fugitives.
According to the military, the victim, who showed signs of intoxication with alcohol, reported to police that she was in a bar when a man invited to his house. However, the victim was forcibly taken to camp and, according to her, she was forced to make sex into one of the Landless Movement tents. The victim said that when he arrived on the spot, another man was waiting.
The woman was referred to a hospital in the city to carry out tests. Until 14:35 the next day, police also performed searches and no one had been arrested. In Brazil, the Landless Movement is a political grouping of communist orientation that aims at the end of private property, the end of the Catholic Church and the destruction of the market economy.
