Vandals set fire on bus during protests in Rio de Janeiro

In the face of all the confusion provoked by protesters opposed to the proposed changes in labor laws imposed by the government of President Michel Temer, a group of vandals decided to set fire to a bus that was trying to break a blockade and lead local residents to the downtown.  The incident occurred near the Rocinha favela and almost caused serious injuries to some passengers, because the criminals (linked to trade union groups and opposition parties) threw bottles of Molotov cocktail on the bus, and only after the fire started, they tried to drag the people for the street. In a short time, a group of police arrived to rescue the passengers and the criminals fled.

Brazilian government stocks bombs to attack demonstrators

In preparation for the riots scheduled for Friday, the Brazilian government has decided to use brute force against rioters who invades public buildings in the country's capital. Thousands of National Security Force officers were photographed in the Justice Department's courtyard, on Thursday morning handling bombs and other artifacts used to block crowds. Lack of maintenance harms locomotion of wheelchair users in Rio de Janeiro

That transportation in Brazil is a huge chaos - as well as almost all public services in the country - isn't a new, but there's a problem more frequent in the city of Rio de Janeiro: the infrastructure for wheelchair users in bus. At first glance, you may think that there are no wheelchair lifts in buses, but they do exist. The problem is a lack of maintenance, a fact that the city of Rio de Janeiro has had to face, even during the Olympics. Faced with the financial crisis through which the state and municipal governments cross, the authorities say they have insufficient funds to make preventive and corrective repairs to equipments. Without having how to solve this misfortune, disabled people need to rely with the solidarity of drivers and passengers to get on the bus and to overcome the bureaucracy that is to be poor in Brazil. Reckless taxi driver causes accident with bus

The traffic is chaotic in all major metropolises, but in Brazil taxi drivers often disregard traffic laws, being equal the robbers who challenge the police.. In this Thursday (04/20), a taxi driver caused an accident involving an articulated bus, in one of the main avenues of the city of São Paulo.  The bus of the 4313-10 line - which was in its exclusive strip and within the speed allowed - gets ready for a turn to the right and park in one side of the Belém subway station, when suddenly a taxi entered in front of you without signaling and made a abrupt stop. Waiter beats woman in restaurant

Afternoon of Sol, city of Rio de Janeiro. A woman decides to go into a restaurant for a meal and doesn't imagine that a terrible thing is waiting for her. The place, a popular restaurant known for its precarious service and poor cleaning. Even so, the woman decides to enter the place and try to eat something before arriving at home. She sits down on a chair and one of the waiters notes the request. After almost 30 minutes, the woman becomes impatient equal the other clients of the place and decides to complain. When she was reporting his problem to one of the waiters, the man began to ignores her as if she were nothing. The woman screams at him and suddenly receives several cowardly strokes. The manager interrupted the fight and a client called the police, who a few minutes later arrived at the local and the case was resolved at the police station.

Brazilian government finds sanitary problems in 8 samples of meat

The Ministry of Agriculture found health problems in eight samples out of a total of 302 analyzed in the 21 refrigerators investigated by the "Operação Carne Fraca" of the Federal Police. According to a representative of the public agency, in samples with problems, the inspection found bacteria such as salmonella and staphylococci, which can cause vomiting, diarrhea and other health problems. According to Reuters, the problems were located in hamburgers from the company Transmeat, of the Paraná state, with seven samples contaminated with salmonella. Staphylococci were also detected in the sausage produced by the Frigosantos fridge, located in Paraná. The two companies will be fined and without the option to resort to judicial disapproval. The other cases detected in other slaughterhouses, such as the use of pork head in sausage and the addition of dirty cardboard in nuggets (case of the chef Jamie Oliver's products sold in Brazil), have not yet been converted into
