Lack of maintenance harms locomotion of wheelchair users in Rio de Janeiro

That transportation in Brazil is a huge chaos - as well as almost all public services in the country - isn't a new, but there's a problem more frequent in the city of Rio de Janeiro: the infrastructure for wheelchair users in bus.

At first glance, you may think that there are no wheelchair lifts in buses, but they do exist. The problem is a lack of maintenance, a fact that the city of Rio de Janeiro has had to face, even during the Olympics.
Faced with the financial crisis through which the state and municipal governments cross, the authorities say they have insufficient funds to make preventive and corrective repairs to equipments.

Without having how to solve this misfortune, disabled people need to rely with the solidarity of drivers and passengers to get on the bus and to overcome the bureaucracy that is to be poor in Brazil. When they do not find anyone in solidarity, the solution is to try to embark alone, in an embarrassing situation that mixes shame and social impotence.
