Bus drivers are beaten in Rio de Janeiro

Thieves jumping of bus window after performing assault With less than a year to the start of the Olympics, the violence in Rio de Janeiro is growing at an alarming rate. A crime wave involving stabbing in the streets and squares, gave way to thefts on buses and subways. "It's the worst job that I've ever worked," fumed a driver. The buses is crowded in the first stopping points, although the number of paying persons doesn't reach five. With full bus, a group of about 10 young begin the assaults. When the buses arrive in the city center, the congestion further facilitates theft. From the middle to the back of the bus, they destroy all the seats and rear windshield. They pull the lever and push with your feet. The assaults committed by young people on buses is common during all days of the week. Motorists say that the problems in the bus lines are repeated constantly. Young people that go to the beach to commit assaults are called "sea air"
