Family is chased and beaten up by taxi drivers after being confused with Uber

A family was chased and beaten by taxi drivers on the night of May 31 in Brasilia, after being mistaken for Uber drivers. The episode occurred when four brothers landed in the Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport and followed by car to Ceilândia, a nearby city. The Civil Police investigates the case.

According to one of the victims, a taxi driver closed his car and after the collision, pretended he would "solve" the situation. The family was surrounded and attacked, despite the protests that were not Uber drivers.

"When we pulled up, more than 50 taxi drivers have arrived at the car, breaking the car glass, knocking on people, and shouting, 'Kill that is Uber, death to the Uber', then I talked about: 'We are a family, we are coming trip, don't, don't', said one of the victims.
