The city of Jequié, Bahia, became famous in social networks after distributing giant backpacks to the students. There are almost 18,000 students from public schools in the city, who received backpacks of the same size: both elementary school children and high school adolescents. After the delivery of the school kits in Jequié, in a short time the big backpacks viralized on the internet as a meme. It all started with a picture of children with almost the size of the bag. Which teacher never gained a gift or even a snack from your student? The gesture simple and affectionate almost resulted in the death of teacher Ednalva Souza, victim of a poisoning. The suspects are three boys between the ages of 7 and 8, their students. Ednalva is a teacher of the 2nd year of primary education at Educandário Santana Amorim, at Aiene Miranda street, in the Floresta Negra neighborhood, where the event happened last Friday. One witness reported that, Ednalva received a stuffed biscuit containing chumbinho, a Brazilian poison used to kill rats. She was taken to the Roberto Santos Hospital, where she has already been discharged. According to the communication office of the Health Department of the State of Bahia, the teacher was admitted to the unit with signs of poisoning. But the dose was considered small, it went through a stomach wash and was released the same day.

Luciano Azevedo, mayor of Passo Fundo (RS), decided to raise the sum of BRL 400,000 that would go to the samba schools in the next Carnival and invest everything in the municipal schools. With the money, he installed about 400 air conditioners in the kindergarten classrooms. The residents supported 100% of the mayor's initiative, believing that this is what the  public money should be used, not to street carnival, which, in their opinion, generates violence and disorder in the city. According to the authorities, continuing to invest the taxpayer's money in the Carnival doesn't make sense anymore, since it only pleased to a minority. A teenager was found dead in the afternoon of October 24 at Santa Felicidade State College in Curitiba. The information was confirmed by the State Department of Public Security and Prison Administration of Paraná (SESP / PR). According to the public agency, the death occurred around 4pm. The 16-year-old was a student of the school. The school is one of more than 800, which is occupied in the state. Civilian and Scientific Police teams went to the site to gather information. "The secretariat handles the issue with priority, to clarify as quickly as possible what happened," informed the Public Press. The students occupy the schools in Paraná and in other states of Brazil with the aim of provoking general chaos in the educational system. Leaders of the movement say they are protesting against the Provisional Measure that aims to reshape high school, in addition to claiming the legalization of drugs, the abortion right, the gay marriage and digital piracy in Brazil.

Police arrested on 6 October, the teenager's biological father who gave hazelnut cream poisoned for his daughter in Cangaiba, a neighborhood in the East Zone of São Paulo. After eating the candy, on 27 September, six students that were friends of his daughter, got sick and had to be hospitalized. The criminal, Mason Leoncio Fernandes dos Santos, is appointed by the police as the main suspect of having poisoned the product. According to the police investigation department, he would have done it because he don't want recognize the paternity of her daughter. The girl who was the target of poisoning, however, not ingested the sweet and only shared with friends. Leoncio was arrested temporarily for 30 days. Medical freshmen from UNESP (São Paulo State University) in Botucatu, were received at a party by veterans of the 6th year who wore costumes similar to those used by the Ku Klux Klan, the American sect that preached the supremacy of the "white race" . The event took place on March 5 at a party called "Baptized of Medicine", organized by students of the 48th class of the course, and was denounced by the Facebook's page called "Oppression in Medicine".  Also on social networks, the page "Network Protection to victims of violence in universities" released on Monday some pictures from the party.
