Mayor allocates the Carnival money to install air conditioning in public schools

Luciano Azevedo, mayor of Passo Fundo (RS), decided to raise the sum of BRL 400,000 that would go to the samba schools in the next Carnival and invest everything in the municipal schools.

With the money, he installed about 400 air conditioners in the kindergarten classrooms.

The residents supported 100% of the mayor's initiative, believing that this is what the  public money should be used, not to street carnival, which, in their opinion, generates violence and disorder in the city.
According to the authorities, continuing to invest the taxpayer's money in the Carnival doesn't make sense anymore, since it only pleased to a minority. This think shows enough wisdom in understanding the real need of the population.
The parents of the students were very pleased with the decision.
