Delegation of Sweden denounces substandard structures and lack of cleanliness in the Olympic Village
The delegation of Sweden was the most recent team to participate in the Rio 2016 to complain about the Olympic Village facilities, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. In the early hours of Tuesday (July 26), the country's athletes have left the place and complained about the structure of the apartments.
The delegation complained about the lack of cleanliness and problems on the floor and walls. Athletes of Sweden took a taxi to the hotel where they will spend the coming days, as the adjustments are made. Last Sunday, newspapers had reported that women's football Swedish team chose to stay in a hotel instead of the Olympic Village.
The head of the Australian delegation Kitty Chiller had refused to stay in the Olympic Village, just by problems as reported by Peter Reinebo, the head of the Swedish delegation. On Monday, the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee undertook to leave the "flawless" village until next weekend.
