Building collapses when was struck by car in Maringa, in southern Brazil


Part of a building in Zone 7 in Maringa, State of Parana, collapsed after the building was hit by a car.

The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man was injured and was taken to University Hospital (UH). According to Hu, the state of health it isn't serious. He remains hospitalized on Sunday morning because awaiting test results.

The PM said that the driver didn't do the breathalyzer test because arrived at the scene after the victim had been rescued. The accident happened at the intersection of the avenues John Paulino Vieira and São Paulo.


In the building that collapsed, it worked a lingerie store and beachwear. There was no one on site at the time of collapse. Police suspect the driver is the same as, shortly before, broke a gate of Maringa Exhibition Park, where occurred a show, and hit a food truck.
